Disclaiming an inheritance is subject to a short time limit. I explain what applies in your case before it expires. Where the heir is a minor, a disclaimer requires court permission; we examine whether the conditions are met and how the application is brought.

Where the will or a share is contested: an action to annul a will, a claim for the reserved portion, an action concerning the estate, partition of the inheritance, and a claim to set aside a gift that prejudices the reserved portion. Unworthiness to inherit may also arise where the law excludes a person from succession. Each action has its own conditions and evidence; I say which route matches the facts in the file.
